Yup, I wonder if all of the protestors voted.

    Last time we had a GOP  control like that...   mass exodus of jobs overseas.  They even gave tax breaks to move factories out of the country.    Eliminated the ability to include credit card debt in Bankruptcy,   
   Enron  began to rip off California... while they turned a blind eye to that crime.
    Mortgage lending,,, all restrictions / regulations lifted.
   
    But this time it will be different. 

 

Trump is an awful person and will be an awful president. He's a racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic bully who mocks disabled people, who encourages violence at his rallies, who doesn't believe in climate change, and who has zero political experience. I'm sick of people comparing Trump and Hillary as equally bad. They are not the same at all.

Unless you're a straight white male with no pre-existing medical conditions, this election outcome will have huge consequences. Women, LBGT, Latinos, Muslims, etc will all lose. Health care will go out the window. Environmental protections will be loosened. He already has announced a climate change skeptic to be appointed to head of the EPA. He's announced plans to sign the First Amendment Defense Act, which will allow businesses to discriminate against the LBGT community. And this is only his first day after the election. He's not even in office yet.

So much is at stake. Anyone who didn't get out to vote is an idiot.

If Trump does even half of the horrible things he's promised to do, the country will be a mess in four years. I hope I'm proven wrong.

Why are you pumped exactly? What did Obama do that was so terrible that Trump will reverse and make better? I'm due to start receiving assistance for health coverage starting Jan 1, but now that might be pulled away from me and millions of others.

As Archie Marx pointed out, Trump doesn't believe there's a water problem in California. He will push for more water diversions, drilling, fracking, pumping, etc. As fishermen that should concern all of us.

Keep in mind that it isn't really a traditional Republican in the White House. How many republicans were Never Trumpers. I doubt he'll have a free hand to do everything he might want.

Im pumped that there isn't a Clinton in the white house.   And to watch all the ridiculous outrage everywhere, just like when Obama got elected.  If you think trumps going to do the things he said, I think you might be mistaken.  The worst thing that happened is that the Dems didn't win one of the houses.  Last time there was total control, we got a shitty health care law.  I don't think Obama was that bad, and I didn't vote for trump,  I voted for Joel Lotilla.

Politics is just big business plain and simple every successful politician has his fingers elbow deep in corporate America...Just my $0.02 and I left the presidential space blank just like George W. Bush.

As for the politics.  There will always be people who think they are not being represented.  But when someone is voted into office that you don't like everyone should at least support them and pray they can actually do things that will be positive for our county. 

Cancelling college classes, protests, riots and living in fear is absolutely the wrong way to live and will cause more damage than good.

I`m obfuscated by some of the reactions to the election results , groups wanting to migrate to other countries , groups calling for secession, rioting etc etc ,,wondering where some of these groups learned this behavior.

We`re given a process to choose ,it doesn't work out the way some of us liked , so basically individuals and groups have what really amounts to a tantrum ..I don`t like the way its played so I`m taking my ball and leaving.

Sometimes life hands us Lemons ..right ..so make Lemon Aide..migrating to another country is not as easy as you think , secession is financially impossible and this rioting... really !?! what are we a bunch of two year olds` having a meltdown in the supermarket checkout line because you cant have a candy.

I did not vote for Trump or HRC . My conscience wouldn't let me.I voted for Gary Johnson. he did not get 1 electoral vote . I`m not crying ,did I want Trump ? Nope....

But I`m not going to cut the head off to cure a headache either.
you want change then take part in it, let your locally elected officials know what you think and feel ,their office address and email address/phone numbers are public info .

This was a safe place with no politics. It needs to go away before it turns bad, and it will. I don't know why I looked back at this again, but I won't again.
