Seasickness

I never get seasick but the last two times I've taken my boy diving he's either barfed or was feeling nauseous.

I know that it's very common for yakers to get motion sickness but what about divers.

Is there some over the counter meds that work particularly well with little side effects for diving?

Interested in the yakers perspective as well.

I have been using  motion sickness pills from costco.   i have had no sidefects  and they are reallly inexpensive.  you have to ask for them on the counter.

It has happened but I usually just drink water to stay hydrated, puke and go back down.  If I get sick underwater then I stop diving.  I am sure glad it doesn't happen a lot.

No motion sickness with patch, in fact when diving it has less side effects

I have been sick diving before too. Usually if it is a little surge etc. I take Meclazine that I get from Target. 100 pills for 5 bucks or so. Ask for it at the pharmacy counter, not on the shelf.

Not really. I have taken more than 1 in the past on super shitty days and I have been a little drowsy.

It works for me.....but....sleep is most important.
When I get sick it's usually because I'm very tired or because I didn't take the pills soon enough before my dive.
Diving is way worse than kayaking for me.
Usually fine without anything on the kayak. I HAVE to take something when I dive. Same when on a boat.
Not sure why, that's just how it is.
Is he getting plenty of sleep the night before the dive?
