Shot up to clear lake to get my boys started on their new Hobie Sports. Totaly kool watching them out there, and they had a blast..This is going to be a really kool thing to share with them...And of course in true "Anglin" fashion, Noah went BIG :fishing1

Just a proud dad showing off.....Danglin

Oh ya, almost forgot, several lmb on shad pointer shallow dive, nothing of great size...taking to many shots of the kids, the bass seemed quite uninteresting :smt002

Nice crappie!  Been thinking of getting my two sons yakking.  How old are your kids?

That must be an awesome feeling to see your boys out there getting started.  Odd though that I sometimes can't wait to see my boy, Omar, getting started but then sometimes I sit there wishing he wouldn't grow up so fast.

Good stuff!

Nice work, Dad!  I can't wait until my little ones are big enough to start yakking on their own.   :smt001

Man, I think I was not much bigger than that last time I caught a crappie. Never one that big though!

ChuckE~ You sound like a host on HGTV!!!!!
Danglin~ Keep them at it. CHUB started on his own when he was 10 and got his first kayak when he was 11. He is 15 now and can hang with the best of 'em.
If you haven't already you need to definitely have them jump out into the water and get back on.
make them flip the yak and then right it. I had CHUB do this drill over and over until he liked doing it. HUGE confidence builder and they won't be surprised when it really happens.

Very COOL! I remember catching 55 of those more then 35 years ago in one night w/ my Bros. Where did you launch and what kind of poles are the boys using?
