  My .02 cents worth.

  In my tiny world of forums (Mainly this one, maybe a truck site and a few bushcrafting sites) Only this site, NCKA, put together funds to help a one of our own to the tune of $16k! through the generosity of the site and for the love of the individual I'm speaking of.  How many online communities have you associated yourself with that have come anywhere close to something this epic? 
  I guess your sticking around, 7 pages worth in quick order?  Give the site a chance.   
  Trust in the fact that if you do attend any of multiple events put on or sponsored by NCKA ( Check the hook-up page) and you don't have proper safety gear, people will let you know!  Also, if you don't have the right tackle for a particular species your after, someone will gladly offer up tackle for you.

I'm a screen watcher for sure. I joined just about a year ago, was looking for mostly info on surf perch in the Monterey and Santa Cruz area. I've talked to Eric a couple times about a trip with him just hasn't panned out yet. I also posted a hook up or 2 and have been invited to a couple as well. I've sent some PM's about other stuff to some members and always gotten a positive reply. Honestly I think this is an awesome group of people with some great chances at learning a lot and making some life long friends. Just my .02 worth. Good luck with whatever you decide.

Your both are 200 % evil, 175% rude and 50% lovable. Thank you for the responses. I think I will stay now knowing I am loved.   

I've been on NCKA for 11 years and have seen a lot of people come and go.

A few that have left are missed, most are forgotten.

My advise for someone that needs attention and/or gratification is to get a puppy.

It's your choice. Stay or go.

Stick around a little longer and you can decide later.  NCKA is a community, even the harshest comment has a well meaning advice behind it.  Most of us are already pass the 'polite introduction' stage, we tell everything as is and genuinely want everybody to get better or well informed.

Well guys maybe I am giving up too soon and you'll find out in person when I meet you all which I hope too one day, that I'm eager to get results quick and put 200% effort 200% dedication and all of the above. I wasn't trying to disrespect anyone and I hope I didn't do so, but seeing the responses you've given and all the different point of views I feel like I'm wrong and I apologize. And ravesblack give me all the shit possible sir if you see I'm messing up or you see I can improve anything please let me know also about those tournys and fnc's id really be interested I have no experience on a kayak but am willing to try anything. Also Eddie and everyone else I'm willing to put in the miles time and effort if any of you are willing to teach me any fishing techniques I appreciate everyone taking the time to comment and those who viewd the thread and didn't post anything hopefully see that they're welcome to post any time and you'll be treated as family
