I'm wrong at times but I'll gladly accept it and learn from it but that won't change the way I am

I woke up to this thread Saturday morning and feel like I stepped in dog shit going to pickup my morning paper. In truth I guess this thread has been a good wake up call for us. We are all in different points on the arc of this kayak fishing lifestyle. From the youngest grom to the oldest OG we need each other to be a community otherwise we're just a bunch of strangers bobbing around on little plastic boats. The best in our community comes out when we connect, reach out. Share a cup of coffe, console a friend after the loss of a parent or divorce, loose some money in a MBF. The excercise and fishing give me a high like no other but the reason I hope to kayak fish until I am good and old is the fellowship between the good people who share this activity. An activity, which, is vastly more rewarding than most in my everyday life. But we do only need to be called assholes occasionally, once every year or two is plenty. So welcome Ulises.
 Regards, Amos

Hi ulises, don't know if you remember me but I was out fishing by the red can last weekend, (pm'd you a few times)
I was  peddling all over the place trying to fined a ling. Lol
Anyways good fishing with you.
I suggest giving this group a chance. 99.9% of them are not so bad. :smt005.
Try attending one of the larger events such as Albion or shelter cove. I bet you'll be pleasantly surprised!?
Hope I see you otw and lets hit the smc when I get back. Don't forget the anchovies next time.   :smt004
Cheers

<snipped> 99.9% of them are not so bad. .

Some of the remaining .1% are hoping they are regarded as that bad and considering working harder at it.

So are you going to Ocean Cover next week for Symply Fishin?
If you need any gear let us know so we can bring extras.
You can fish without having to go far, Sonoma Coast is a lot more productive than HMB.

Ulises,Homie- I have a radio you can use if you accept my terms which are:it'll cost you twice what it's worth if I have to come looking for you to get it back. Many of us have GPS on our fishfinders which won't be in use,  so if you don't attempt to fish deeper or further away than the others who were out  you will be in the same boat as the rest.  As always the call to go or not ultimately rests on your shoulders but don't let lack of a radio keep you from joining the fun. Let me know and I'll bring one for you. - SuperVato

What is commonly referred to as immersion gear( farmer John wetsuit) pfd(life vest), marine band radio(vhf), knife to cut fishing line should you become entangled, company around you who you speak to and good judgment are required.  A potluck item and good handshake  don't hurt and I'd recommend kayaking sober with a bottle of water and some granola bars.C-ya there
Ps I will bring a fish ID chart you can keep.
