Hi there,

I am trying to get a map together of all lakes in the nearer distance to San Francisco that one is allowed to fish and optionally allow kayaks on it.

Here is what I have so far:

* Alpine Lake (no yak)
* Bon Tempe (no yak)
* Lagunitas (no yak)
* Kent Lake (no yak)
* Phoenix Lake (no yak)
* Nicasio Reservoir (no yak)
* San Pablo Reservoir (yak)
* Briones Reservoir (yak) ?
* Lafayette Reservoir (yak)
* Upper San Learndro Reservoir (yak?)
* Lake Chabot
* Del Valle Regional Park

Would be great if people could give their input on this.

Thanks!

They stock with trout once or twice a year! There are a few bass in the reeds, a catfish or two, and definitely sculpin as well. This is the North Lake of course.  The south Lake just has dead bodies...  :smt003

Briones Reservoir

 EBMUD is very strict about recreational activities. Fishing, swimming, and wading are not allowed. However, college rowing teams from Mills College, UC Berkeley and Saint Mary's College have permission to use the lake under certain rules, such as all boats have to be inspected before they are allowed to be used on the lake to prevent contamination.

I believe you can also paddle a portion on Putah creek where it goes flat close to Vacaville.

Lexington Reservoir is not closed to kayaks but the ramp is closed to trailers.  Went there last week with my Pro Angler and the mussel inspector said I would get a ticket if my trailer was in the parking lot, so I went home and got my car top sit in kayak and returned.  I did see a person unloading their Hobie Adventure Island off their trailer and wheel over to the inspection area and down the ramp and park his rig in the parking lot.
