And no not the haircut.  :smt003 these are one of my favorite back home we usually catch them on the rivers or flooded rice fields using gill nets. I wonder if you can catch them here on cast net. I know these freakers are fast. Any info? Thanks

you know, i've seen them in san diego from time to time jumping around, but you can't cast net down there.  I've never seen a mullet up in NorCal and i would think it would be rare as they like warmer water.

Was gonna suggest socal, anywhere east of Orange County or lo cal east of the 5 but he said not the business up front party in the back hairdos.


Only place I've ever heard anybody refer to a mullet is in florida.  What do they look like?

mullet are found in newport bay.  chasing em around here tho, idk, maybe wait 50 years and SF will be as warm

Texas.  I have caught thousands in castnets over the years.  I have never eaten one though.

To answer your question nowhere in NorCal. I've caught them off the beach in the Sea of Cortez known as Lisas down there.

They are great live bait for big game.
