Fished the Bass-n-Tubes 2007 season opener @ Naci about a week ago.  Didn't represent very well -- came in 7th.  Plenty of fish caught but had a tough time catching a keeper (>13") on Day 2.  Most of my fish came dragging a 4" lizard on a carolina rig in about 25' of water.  Bites were VERY tentative.  The winner did well with over 15#s for 2 days.

Nice,

7th. Place out of how many? At least you placed. Lake Nacimiento is one of my favorit camp and fishing spot. But I never had the chance to kayak it.

Thanks for the report :smt001

Thats not bad, Gordon!
Naci can be a tough lake to fish, especially in early March. Go back there in April-May and you'd probably do a lot better. Of course, there probably isn't a tourney there in May.

Congrats on the nice bass.

And thanks for the report and pics,
PK

Better than SKUNK STANK Gordon!   It hurts when you don't get that "adrenaline rush" for a days effort.
Keep them ports&pics flowin in.

Have to agree with everyone and say nice job. Fished this lake a bunch of times not your friendliest place for sure.
