When I took a friend to the Emergency room in Placerville we were asked  questions regarding guns in our home and if she felt safe at home. Being that it pissed me off I answered no guns and not safe because of all the crime. I then found this  online that is a great response to the questions about guns.

I was in the ER last week & told by the admitting nurse that those questions were brand new to the admitting questionnaire that they have to fill out.  Seemed strange but whatever.

You should have just pointed them to the thread "where do you keep your gun while on your kayak"  :smt044

i believe these questions are geared towards potential domestic abuse victims.  Many of them don't want to speak up in fear of retribution, but the theory is if you ask them questions in a certain sequence they may answer in the affirmative.  it's really a fair set of questions.

Guns are one of the questions for patient history at my son's pediatrician. Doc just asked about safe storage. She was a shooter herself.

Just remember guns don't kill people, neither do cars driven by reckless or drunk people!

I just had this come up on a patient history questionnaire I was filling out for a new doctor.  I simply replied "NOYFB"!

I was asked if I felt safe in my home. I said no, not at all. I do not feel safe in my home, my car, at work, or while sleeping. When we get an administration that can protect me, then I will feel safe. Until then, I will protect myself and others the best way I know how. Butter knifes and tulips. Liberals have deemed everything else as evil, and Loretta Lynch says to hug and love your enemies.
Live your life, the way you want to be remembered. Don't have any regrets, we only get this one dance to make it count. Start at your eulogy, and work backwards.

Yes it was a good read.  However if I'm ever in a position that requires me to be in any doctors care and I'm asked those questions, I will never remember all the crap that was in that letter :smt044
Seems like "NOYFB" is a sound reply!

Very amusing read.

About 15 years ago when I was living on the east coast, I took my kid for a routine doctor's appointment. The doctor himself (not the nurse) spent a ridiculous amount of time on questions about guns. At some point, the doctor got the impression that I was not taking him seriously (because I wasn't) and he proceeded to give a long speech about gun violence. When I mentioned that some of his statistics were obviously wrong, it was as if I'd insulted his religion. Now, whenever the topic comes up, I just say something like, "Well, I used to have quite an arsenal, but I got rid of all my guns so that I'd have more room for my stash of cigarettes."
I don't like stuff that sucks.
