Hi all,

I currently have campsite reservations up at Albion from this Thurs - Sun (19th-22nd) but it's looking like weather is going to be a factor.  Winds at 24 knots on Thurs, large swell all 4 days, and rain on Sat.

So..... that being said, I'm looking for a plan B (a little late, I know).  Has anyone camped along Monterey Bay or South of there with easy water access?  Weather is looking fine so I thought I'd shoot for South of SF.  Any ideas would be most helpful.

Thanks!

Awesome, thanks guys!!!  Going to hit them up now.

This will be 2 years in a row my annual Albion trip and been "weathered" out.  Gotta love spring time!

:smt006  Hey guys, one more quick question - Says "Campsites are available on a first-come, first-served basis only."  From your experience, how quickly do they usually fill up.  I'd be getting there on Thursday AM (if that makes a difference).

Again, really appreciate the input!

Yep, Veterans is your best bet in Monterey. You should be ok if arriving Thursday morning. Continuing south, there are some campgrounds in Big Sur about 30 minutes south (Molera or Pfeiffer or private campgrounds like Fernwood). Molera would be great if there wasn't a marine reserve. :-(   Then it's another hour south to the next group of campgrounds (Limekiln, Kirk Creek, Plaskett Creek).

Awesome, thanks again for all the input, guys.  REALLY appreciate it.  Gunna go for it and hope I score a spot, hopefully 2.  We had a good sized group that was heading to Albion and it looks like some wanna roll the dice at Veterans as well.  Somehow I ended up in charge of this whole circus  :smt044

I looked around on their site and didn't see anything about how early people can arrive to claim a spot.  Anyone know?  Was planning on getting there as early as possible ( after the sun is up  :smt005 )

MBK " Monterey Bay Kayaks" on Del Monte is a very calm launching point.  Still water in Pebble Beach is probably your best bet for better fishing. There is also coral st and ocean view in PG which is street parking and an easy launch. The first 2 are $10 cash parking. Coral is street parking.

Awesome, thanks 57FISHY.  Pinged ya back on your PM as well.  I'll hit ya up once we're all settled in.  Thanks again for the intel!  Super stoked for 3 days of fishing in your neck of the woods!
