Custom rod with cool turkish wraps

My good friend just built me a very nice custom rod. Heavy, with fast tip. Have yet to try it out yet, but in very stoked about it.  I also had him put a loop on the foregrip so i can attach a leash when kayaking.





Im really diggin the wrap job, and the fact that its one of a kind customized to my fishing style, makes it more special.  I lost my fishing partner few years ago, who was also my best friend.  Cancer sucks, so this rod was kindda like a tribute to him, with the special color (periwinkle)  as a reminder and the color for gastric cancer awareness.

Dude that is so cool. Not just the rod, but also the sentiment. I have no doubt you'll catch many new PBs with that rod. Also, it seems appropriate to post a link if you have more info about the person/company that built this custom rod!

Wow! That is an absolutely stunning rod! I'm sorry you lost a friend to cancer. It's just awful. This seems like an excellent tribute though and the memory of your friend will live on.
