Benicia bait and tackle did not have any handlines so I sourced a extension cord reel from ace hardware.  Here is what I came up with... a bit ghetto but just posting to make sure it is still within what y'all consider a handline.

Cheers,
Joseph

Couldn't have asked for a better day to have the FnC!!!
> Great Weather! Although the sun didn't come out in the morning hours, it was perfect weather for paddling! (yes, I "paddled" today, not "peddled"!) Barely no wind, except a very like breeze, which was perfect for when the body heated up from paddling...

> Perfect ocean conditions!  The pond was as "flat ass calm" as it could be; with swells at 1-2 every 15 seconds, and it was in inches, not feet!!! drift was perfect, enough to keep the bait moving along the bottom, but not so much that you had to do alot a paddling to moving around...

Fishing was hit and miss, but thats the ARW! Rays, Sharks and a few under-Halis came out to play, but I'll let them share they're own stories. For me I had one take-down or drive by, took half my sardine and left the front half; I didn't have a trailer hook on the tail, so the fish didn't stick!

Played the "social butterfly" and paddled around to all the kayaker to see how they were doing; then stopped off to attend the Reelknot's "Safety" meeting, where a bunch of us formed the floating floatilla of kayaks...

If you haven't seen, I posted Live Feeds of our time on the water; including a clip of Stephkillsit and her 2nd place Dogfish!

Back on land, the "Chill" started to come together as kayakers returned to shore, and I gotta tell you, the food rivaled any of the major kayaking tournys! Special thanks Str8fishin for dropping off the HAC special; dat chit was off da freak'n hook (I took the rest of the pan home and had more for dinner and will be dining on it for the next couple of day. phuck my gout, I'll deal with the pain!) Reelknot's adobo, ArielSea's BBQ pork, P-Sherman's Kabobs, Chucke's Pulled Pork Tacos with homemade Pineapple Salsa and a ton of other food! Thanks all for contributing!!! And "Rolling Pin" donuts for breakfast, was a great way to start the morning!!

Congrats to Yakhopper (who drove all the way down for Shelter Cove to support my FnC)  who took top honors and the $280 pot for biggest fish! Well deserved bro!!

Thanks Hojo for coming out to snap some photos!

Finally, thanks everyone who came out and participated, (from the NoBay, Sactown and even Fresno), I had a blast! I glad you got to experience the fun I have been having handlining over the past couple of years... There definitely will be a "2nd Annual Handlining FnC" in the future!!

Much love my brothers & Sisters for you support!! It was great to see my HAC brothers, NCKA friend's I havent seen in a long while and the new NCKA brothers who recently joined to family; it was great fishing and chilling with you all!! Even had a cameo appearance for a Senior LS brother, my love FishnBrew!!!

We had an awesome time it was cool to meet a lot of new people and put some names to faces.
This was my first time to the Rockwall and conditions were great. General breeze tiny swell/chop and the overcast that is from the valley side go to the coast to enjoy. A really nice time and a fun way to fish. The hand reels glen picked up overseas are cool. I had a couple good bites but couldn't get anything to stick. Tyler caught a small angel shark
Thanks again to everyone for the good times and making us feel welcome. Nice to hang out for a bit afterwards before the drive home and congrats to Eric for the win.

Thank you for getting us together and sourcing the spools, Glen!  We already cherish them as prized posessions.

Had a great time.  The conditions were really nice, about as nice as one can hope to expect on the bay.

The baitfish were all over, and jumping clear out of the water to taunt us, but we didn't catch a thing.  We didn't mind though since it was such a nice day.

It was very interesting to see ChuckE take the simple handline fishing to another level with creative, proprietary techniques.  Leave it to the master to find a better way!

Was good to be among ncka after a semi hiatus, putting names to a few more faces and seeing longtime solid friends and legends again. One of these days I will meet everyone.

That adobo was delicious.  Thanks everyone.

Sorry but I forgot to take a single pic.
