I'm in. Sounds like fun.

I know nothing about handreel fishing. Please tell me, what's the advantage, or disadvantage on the size of the reel?

Al

Sorry Al,

At this time, I am not selling them individually; need to save them for the people that wanna participate in the FishnChill. I only have a limited number available....

larger reels hold more line; for handlining you you want thicker diameter line so it doesnt cut your hand. I used between 100lb-150lb mono for the main line..

also one wrap around a larger reel takes up more line than a small reel....

plus, the bigger hand reels look cooler! the majority of these are 10"x 2"...

Thanks for the advise. I'll take a large. Will PayPal soon.

Al

All good Glen!! I'm looking forward seeing everyone and giving this a try. Are we going to be at the marina behind the Marina Inn and Horatio's?

my new name should be Ostridge. Got my head in the sand. Going fishing and letting go of the other stuff I can't control anyway!

Think it might be easier to launch closer by the boat ramp; but Chucke and I will scope it out next week and post more details...
