How far is it from the campsites to launchable shoreline?   Is it bunch of steep hills to reach the water.

This is where we were camped last time. I imagine the water is way up now.

From what I could find, it is the same as last year.

Is anyone fishing Friday? I'm off work Friday (but now I have to work Saturday) and may do some scouting. Probably spend the first part of the morning looking for trout/salmon/kokes and then look for bass after.

Is MBF going to be Saturday only or Sunday too?

Anyone want to split the cost on a site for Friday and Saturday nights? I'll be using my tent cot so I don't take up as much room.

Good thing is that it is a North wind. We can get out early to the main lake if wanted and ride the wind home.

North wind is actually the WORST wind to have at Berry.  By the time the waves get down to the south side of the lake they are 3ft rollers. Any north wind over 10mph makes the main lake un fish able.  Good luck if you go and be safe. You can still fish from capell cove to Spanish flat and be somewhat protected there. Mostly bass and crappie though. Maybe a few trout. Kokes are out in the main body between the island and skiers cove.

I know north is terrible there. But if I head out at 5 I will be where I hear reports of kokes are at by 6, about 4+ miles.   I should get a few good trolling hours in before the wind really kicks in. The ride home in my Tarpon 160 will be fast and easy. Then I will hit bass Etc in the sheltered areas of the south. I know the lake very well and where each species should be with exception of kings that are difficult at times to locate.
