With the wind it looks like the family and I will just be there for the chill portion.

I couldn't get the gate unlocked early a.m..even with the combo I was given...no one answered the radio and an old guy at the gate with alcohol on his breathe kept hassling me about trying to open the gate...kept asking me how I 'Knew" the combo and why "my " group " got it and why he coudn`t ..gave up went home ..glad you had fun...... LOL..next time   :smt009 :smt005 :smt030 :smt102 :smt014
I think it's one of those locks where the line is at the bottom instead of the middle like all the rest. Everyone has the same problem the first time they encounter it. I ended up installing a handrail for my parents in their garage. I figured if it was too windy to fish I might as well get that project crossed off my list. How bad was it up there? I just saw on of my tomatoe plants completely broken off from the wind here in vacaville.

tried all 3 locks..maybe I`m combo locked challenged..never made it in ..Too windy any way..worse part was an old guy with booze on his breathe..he was waiting for the gate to open to launch...kept asking me how I/we were so special that we get the combo..kept standing over me asking questions... kept saying he fished in worse winds blah blah blah....got impatient and left    LOL
The average lock has the line in the middle so the numbers selected line up in the middle of the lock. One brand you have to put the numbers over to one edge. It's confusing for anyone used to the other kind. I've struggled with them myself.

That must have been fun.  Probably wondering what the hell was on the end of your line until you saw it .

Sweet kitty on a koke rod Rob - I did that last year! :smt001

I daytripped it on Sat. to fish a little and chill a lot.
Sat. winds were no joke and had me wishing I had brought my Hobie.

Caught a few small fish on the fly pole, on my new favorite rig - "popper/dropper"
Fish were caught in a windless cove that backwoodsbadass was fishing (he said he got a smallie out of there earlier)

Chilled with a good crew of NCKA'ers for some classic times at a lake that I love!
Thanks Ricci and crew for the FnC! :smt001

I was planning on going up for the day until the winds kicked up and I became an allergy zombie.  Even bought the ribs and made up the bbq sauce.  Oh well, guess I'll just have to eat em all myself now.
