  Que Passa?

Been out to sea as of late and figured this would be the best place to surface as I am a different person Physically and Mentally than when I left NCKA or was, " Banned…" last year. Both had happened, and for the best at the time…

Not going into detail and I, " May…" owe some of you an apology or nothing at all… at any rate, those apologies have been exchanged and thank you to my friends who have apologized back to me and understanding a Very Difficult time that is still going on with dying family, friends and difficulties …  I have been learning, "acceptance…" and it seems to be working ...

Let there be no confusion about Nor Cal HOW as I have heard some disturbing things concerning how I feel about HOW…

I totally support Nor Cal HOW, RacinRacidRob and everyone who picked up the torch as I could do it no more…

I'll say it again, I put in over 7 years getting this chapter and many others going on the west coast, investing thousands of hours volunteering to make this program grow as I believe very strongly in what kayak fishing can do for anyone.  I've got over $15k of my own money into this, 2 destroyed Outbacks and 2 "tattered,," but in good shape, Hobie Sports that I used to get this program off the ground, letting dozens if not hundreds of service members and their families, get out on the water fishing out of kayaks..

and I don't care?

easy stomach … easy …   :smt078

I have no issues with Nor Cal HOW, NCKA or any of the many people here who have helped me and the Nor Cal HOW team, make Nor Cal HOW what it is today and it's strong foundation that it has as these guys are on a aggressive schedule of events this year that will need your help…

My problem is with Jim Dolan… Director at HOW National in Texas and major PITA to me…

Nor Cal Chapter and all the other chapters and volunteers are what makes this program Great and Magical,

Not one Jackass Ego Maniac … and That's All I say about that other than,

Please support Nor Cal HOW, they need all the help they can get, and I am still in the shadows…   :batman:

I decided it was time for a, " Walk About …" Packed the truck loaded for Bear and crossed the border back in Early October… post another trip before that back in August when I flew to La Paz post a 9 day mediation retreat in New York with my New Wise Punk Rock Buddhist Friends, post quitting a well established San Francisco Punk Band that I just joined as I wanted to Rock again, and HARD!!!

I came to La Paz to visit Jon Walton of the Bay Areas own "Walton's Pond…"  Jon quit his business and moved here last year running a fishing operation…

I don't know if it's just one of those things, I'm in dream or if it's really true, but La Paz had me under her spell the moment I stepped onto the Malecon…

I returned home to the Bay early December post a nights stay in a La Paz Emergency room… which I will say was the best experience I have ever had in a ER, and that's coming from someone who has been in hundreds of ER's… they helped me, my doctor could have doubled as Miss La Paz, and it was free… WTF?  anyway…

I returned home, thought everything was well re-connecting with my family, but no… Diverticulitus came back with a passion and landed me in the hospital for 5 days awaiting emergency surgery… long story longer… 3 weeks at home recovering to have surgery and it was finally done last month and I now have 1/3 less of my colon and am recovering in La Paz…

Lot going on to "Nothing" going on…

I drove back to La Paz to work on myself and to go deep with my, " practice …" as after everything I have been a part of with Trauma, Addiction, PTSD and God Knows what else…

My Practice…  seems to be only thing that is helping and feels like the right path …

My Family is giving me this time which is quite awesome on their part and I miss them terribly,

but this needs to happen for myself, them and anyone else who knows me ...

There is much more that I have hope for the future with what I'm doing here besides, " Healing thy Self …"

This place is the "NCKA Club House…" we've all been dreaming about…

There are many places in Baja, the world, but something just rings true with this place with what it has to offer and how friggen cheap and easy all this all can be,

It's Criminal not to take Advantage ...

Part of what I'm doing here is to open this up to us… and if all goes well, eventually…

a Kayak Fishing PTSD Retreat …  bringing wounded and their families, here on the cheap…

it's actually already in motion… much unknown and too long to go into here of what is happening with that,

but it is my "vision…" and has, " Legs…"

so,

I'm back on the board…

should be posting some Baja Fish Porn soon as I'm still kind of recovering, moving slow with pain, " Viento "  ( wind ) is up and fish are confused as bait is scattered…

that will all be changing very soon …

See at GSX

Caio for now Amigos !!!

Welcome to the two-thirds club!
Take er easy on the recovery though. Don't want to pull any stitches, and it's real easy to get dehydrated.

Stitches !!!

They stabled my colon together and you can only imagine how they do that needing something to "stable" against and then wrapped it with plumbing tape,,,

Oh yes, it's a strange new world for me with the new pipe job.

Thanks for the Welcome...

Glad to hear you are having fun and bouncing back.  What an ideal place in Baha to recover.  Looking forward to hear more of your fishing adventures in La Paz.

Welcome back and thanks for your update!! Lots of healing going on, just keeping fighting the fight! Only been to La Paz once, for my honeymoon!! We stayed a week and fished with David Jones, which I think ha retired now. Steve from the Rod Rack hooked me up with him. Anyways, great to hear from you and looking forward to seeing you at GMS.
