See the pic in the last post?  There has been a definite sanding-in of the launch area at Shelter Cove.   A swell with any significant south influence is now potentially hitting the breakwater and sending breaking waves around the end of the jetty due to how shallow it is.  You can almost drive to the end of the breakwater at around a zero tide... 

The message here is this:  be aware that the usually very calm and safe launch and landing at Shelter Cove is experiencing some issues...  What I used to advise was to stick right to the end of the jetty, but now that's getting hammered due to the sanding in.  It needs to be watched and timed for sets, and be careful on top of that!

This should only be an issue if there's a south swell, and I want anyone involved to be aware of what is possible.

Be aware - that's the biggest deal.
