It's been in all the news lately.  She's dating Blake Shelton.  Gavin Rossdale is all sorts of pissed about it, and Miranda Lambert is just out in the cold.

It was on the Country Music Awards.  People made jokes about it, even though it isn't really very funny.

Our 41st wedding anniversary that weekend.  What better way to celebrate than a trip to the ocean?!  We will be there!

I doubt that miranda was left out in the cold, as she was the one to file for divorce. Blake divorced his first wife to marry Miranda and then he gets cut...for now.

That sounds like the jewelry store commercial I just heard  where the man says he just bought the wife a dishwasher for their anniversary. The wife was not so enthused.
 If the thought of going to GS on your anniversary brings a smile to her face - you've definitely got a keeper 

Wow that's my wedding anniversary weekend too.  42 years.  I'll be at GS for sure but not with Sue.  We will pick another day to celebrate.

On a more serious non-pop culture note:

Eric, any plans for a hike and dive?  Or a hike and hike?  It will be the full moon that weekend and a clear night midnight or later one way shuttle hike from the saddle mountain crest down buck creek then down the beach to the black sands parking lot might be sorta epic, and that early morning time would be following the tide out so no worries about the tides from buck to gitchell.  It's about 9 miles total.
