I makes me warm and fuzzy knowing I have a emergency gps beacon.. It would suck if they detect my beacon a couple hundred feet under the big blue.

I'm about due for an upgrade. Waiting on a price...

Left out the preferences. Heh. Either the basic or the GPS included would be fine. If it does FMRS also, that would be a bonus. (Need to "phone home" occasionally, and we can't talk with land-based radios on Marine Service.)

I have 2 of that radio and a friend has one also.  Never fails, battery will last 2 days of fishing and has always worked after a "dunking".

And you can easily see that flashing red light on the bottom to locate your floating radio from at least 40ft away.

The model you see above will be the group buy model with the features/specs you see; S.H. HX300.
