Did anyone else see this? I have trouble believing that a 6ft great white would attack a surfboard, not to mention bite through it. They're more fish-eaters at that size aren't they?

That looks like a big bite for a 6 foot shark.

It also says six foot long "adult male". That doesn't jive...

No kidding. I remember hearing this story a few weeks ago and just assumed that it was a larger shark based on the type of attack and size of the bite in the board. 14" seems like a big bite for a relatively small shark.

That was a mistake. I had the exact same response when I first heard about this attack last month. Followup stories indicated it was over 15ft.
