Thanks Russ,    I'll be watching for them.  This was going to be my next purchase.    I've got a couple saltwater angler friends in Texas that are believers !  Prof Salt and Todd Johnson both swear by them.  ( both have owned Avets )

I have had the Avet  SX for three years now...  my opinion is it's a nice reel, but sure seems like it needs high maintenance.   Especially compared to the Penn.

Tod and I fished some tournaments.  He is a good friend of mine. I have met Glen yet but I am sure I will soon! We have a lifetime warranty with a 3 day turnaround so no maintenance issues to work about.

I've got the Release SG model and I like it way better than my avet sx reel. I commercial fish and put a lot of wear and tear and never have had a problem. Might have to sell my avet reel to pay for another truth reel! Great product you guys are putting out.

Thank you, we love to hear that.  We need your help to grow our awesome brand!  Any input we can get from our Captain's and Commercial fishermen is appreciated.  Email me any time.!

I haven't ever been on a board like this one.  Did I reply properly by hitting the Quote button to reply to each post?

Welcome to West Coast and NCKA....

If you sponsors some of our event you are on the right tract. Theres a lot of costumers here that if they believe your product they will promote it. Also you dont need to quote every single one and reply each all you need Quote is copy and patse each one you need to reply on a word document then paste them all together in 1 reply. Looking forward to these amazing truth reels.

Just in case the salmon or WSB move into LA waters ... or they get mutant Flounders the size of Hali's   :smt002 :smt003

Having fished the Gulf before, they have a REALLY awesome fishery that is, IMHO, second to none!  The ability to fish freshwater bass, bream & catfish then shoot a short boat ride to fish spec. trout, ladyfish & redfish in brackish water followed by another short boat ride to grouper, snapper, amberjacks, spanish macs, wahoo, billfish & durado is an awesome day!  Finish the day off with a little cast netting for mullet, gigging for flounder and some shrimping or oyster tonging ... hell, throw in some scallop diving too   :smt003
