Im sure this has been brought up before, but seems like anyone can just make a profile and ten posts aint much. Could have access to the members section in an hour. I think it should be 50 posts or.something like that, but than again im sure there are anomalies in the mix that im not aware of. I put in looooooots of time on the water pb and yak and am protective of it. I just dont want to pimp out all my info ya know? Thoughts?

Wouldn't that just require them to spend two hours? It keeps out the people that are just browsing thru without even joining. It is difficult to do more than that.

The charm of fishing is that it is the pursuit of what is elusive but attainable, a perpetual series of occasions for hope.  ~John Buchan

Which reminds me ... why are hookups and reports merged instead of separate?

I don't actually care how many post min it is for the members sections.  It was an arbitrary number based on who knows what.  Put up a poll, vote, and it will be (sometime ... eventually).  That's how it works around here!   :smt002

You can spot a "Golden Ten" poster from a mile away.  They post a quick joke, make a comment on a thread like "Nice Job!", or a a question like "Do I really need a wet suit?".  And once they reach 10, they go silent.

1. Who makes the rules around here?
Live your life, the way you want to be remembered. Don't have any regrets, we only get this one dance to make it count. Start at your eulogy, and work backwards.

I'm not so concerned about "pimping" out info, because like a tire kicker, I am interested in locations and technique, but I haven't gone out there to try it in forever.. so I'm guessing most of the quiet guys like me read, but never act on the information shared.....your secret hunting spots are safe.
I do enjoy the vids and the fish porn and great stories...thanks all.

Honestly when I joined I didnt expect the level of knowledge and helpfulness that I came across. What an impressive group of people on here that takes fishing as serious as I do. I have already met several awesome ppl on here that I regularly keep in touch with. Just think the members section should be a liiiiitle more difficult to get into. All im sayin!
