My 798 started acting funny last week. Wouldn't hold on my preferred screens.  I'm still looking into it, but think my battery is putting out low amps making things screwy.

I ended up on this screen, just to get a bottom view.  never really looked at it before.  Impressed myself with the "standard miles" and the usage hours.  I've had this for what, three years?  Four?

ps:  don't try to rub the water spots with spot on your finger on the computer screen. It won't work.  I tried it.

Yes I have found therir coustomer service to be outstanding.  Even though I'm semi sponsored by them,, I had to pay for a previous repair.  (I only cracked the FF with my fish billy twice while subduing a flatty on deck).  so it was on me for sure.

but they turned it around in less than a week!! from TEnesee or wherever.  pretty cool.

And, With a different battery, it seemed to work fine last go-out.  Thats why Im thinking amps.  i can see 12.3 V, which is plenty, but those color FF/GPS really draw power.  i use a 12 V 10A battery for it.

Sorry to hear you're having trouble with the views. Hours and miles look pretty impressive to me, WTG, AB!

I aspire to spend that kind of time on the water!

You sure don't go very far on each trip, do you? I need to look at mine. I bet I have 1500 miles on mine or more in 3 years. Now I am curious.

In 3 yrs no issues at all with my HB. Love it, even though they are owned by Johnson. I catch hell from our team guys for using Johnson product. I don't care though. Have not been fired yet!

All those miles are from leaving it on while you're driving down the road...?   :smt002
