Lowrance 5 CHIRP for $399 @ Academy

Gold package @amazon seem to be a best deal now

$499 seems to be fairly "standard" pricing for this unit.

I trying to get clarification right now if local retailers like West Marine will price match internet offers from Amazon.  Their site says they won't match online auctions & only stores within 50 miles but doesn't directly include nor exclude online price matching.  If you're like me, I'd much rather get the same price & have a store I can walk in/out of with the item when possible.  I'm all about instant gratification

I'll be on the hunt for tuna camp for sure!  Countdown till I leave is less than 1 month.  Packing has begun!  Still building items for camp up till the 11th hour.

UPDATE:  I see the Elite 5x CHIRP at Cabelas for $399 - this DOE NOT have GPS included.  Let's make sure we are all on the same page as we sort through these good deals.

Yes, but that is ONLY a fishfinder ... no GPS.  I want to be 100% transparent in what you are buying & at what price.

Tempting. Hummm, makes me wonder what I could get for my Elite-4 HDI ...

West Marine is tricky. I have a price matching app on my iPhone, TheFind. I just tried to load it, I guess it's been shut down. Not even on the App Store anymore.

In the past, when I was in West Marine, I'd scan each barcode and try my best for a price match. This was in HI so most times even the WM website was cheaper than the prices I found in the store. They'd occasionally match online prices but in the last year or two, they only price match stores in the area that have a physical address. Worth a try for sure. I like West Marine.

Only problem is I couldn't find where it states transducer or not ? And a 2 to 3 week shipment seems a bit long ?
