E2G, how would you compare the two? They are on my short list for my next yak.

I've only owned 2 boats and the 2nd one I just picked up -

07 Hobie Adventure - mine
08 Hobie Outback - wife's if I can ever get her out but more likely a buddy boat

Someday I hope to get one for the little munch-kin but she's not even 2 yet so I've got a little while. :smt003

I fish and dive a lot and need the carrying capacity.
I used to own a Cobra fish and dive but sold it to work abroad.
Upon returning, I found nothing but empty space in the freezer.
I tried out a number of intended upgrades and chose once again ....thanks to Mickfish......a Cobra fish n dive.

here the basic stuff http://www.norcalkayakanglers.com/index.php/topic,13485.0.html

since then I would add that the trident weathercocks a lot more than the tarpon but that can be remedied by a rudder, or with some paddling 'rudder' action

A lot actually...but the rudder makes it fantastic.  Jellys old Tourer was the same way.

My first kayak was a aegean OK on the Big Island
loved it but it was a barge.  It floated my friend and his wife and they collectively weigh over five hundred pounds.
Current kayaks
Recently bought a three man OK (not sure name) for a hundred dollars.

-Liquid Logic Manta Ray 14, replaced by Native Manta Ray 14"
The first one leaked and developed cracks, but the Native is awesome and remains absolutely bone-dry inside.
-OK Drifter, picked up cheap during and end-of-summer sale at Sports Authority...  a decent paddling boat, but wet.
-OK Scupper Pro, old school dual-hatch, picked up in a trade, very fast but a little tippy.  Good for small butts.
