I've been kayaking for 6+ years and own or have owned:

Eddyline Merlin XT--my first kayak (a barge for a closed-deck boat) that now belongs to my daughter
Eddyline Nighthawk 16--a sweet, responsive boat that I sold to buy a new boat
Seaward Chilco--a Cadillac in terms of a closed-deck kayak that is more boat than I need but a dream
Wilderness Systems The Ride--a virtual raft of a sit-on-top that I got for my 75-lb. dog Jake and me
Cobra Marauder--my latest acquisition for fishing and that is still undergoing "pimping"

great trivia question!

I'm a hobie guy for the most part.

Have owned (in order)

1. Hobie Maui - fished the hell out of this thing.  best $225 i ever spent.
2. Perception synchro (tandem) - this thing weighed a ton but was so stable, i loved to paddle it solo, esp with rudder.  Anyone remember our moss salmon trip of '03?!
3. Perception Prism double hatch
4. Hobie Mirage tandem

Currently own
5. Outback
6. Adventure

Total lifetime...owned three, still have them all.  Two Outbacks and one Hobie Mirage Classic (bought for half price when a local kayak shop was clearing out their rental fleet a couple years ago).

I want to thank all you guys....  My wife actually conceded that my 2 kayaks might not be excessive.  So, now I'll work on getting another one (or two).

I used to have 2 Kiwi Kopapa's
Now I have a WS Tarpon 120 and an OK Scrambler XT.

You can NEVER have too many kayaks! :smt002 And I'm learning that's true for rods and reels, too!

My one and only yak is the Mighty Caper.

The Trident is looking pretty sweet since sooner or later I want to get a yak that will handle chop and wind waves better....aka a "non-doucher".

Ahhh...upgrades have been made since this post!

Sold the Caper to Joel and bought his old yellow P15.
Bought another 100% UN-modified (tequila) sunrise P15 from Aquan.
Just bought a used T15 w/rudder.
