Too many?

I have owned: 9

Currently own: 7

Off topic: also own a nice old 14' Valco with a 6hp Yamaha OB.

BTW, all are safely stored indoors and kept out of the elements.

I have owned 4.

1997-2000 I had an old 1970s sit-inside fiberglass touring kayak, too small for the ocean and too big for whitewater.  It was basically 12 ft tube with tapered ends.  Great for learning to eskimo roll.

In 2004 I purchased a OK Caper for myself and an OK Venus for my wife.

In 2005 I won the Cobra Navigator XF that I currently use most.

I'm going to limit my answer to SOT fishing kayaks lest the list get too long.

I currently own:

(2) Ocean Kayak Prowler 15's
(1) Ocean Kayak Prowler Big Game
(2) Malibu X-Factor's (for sale in Seattle)
(1) Malibu Pro 2

I used to own a Cobra Triple.

I have owned 7 total. Currently I have a Prowler 15, Prowler 13, Tarpon 160 ( Old school ), a Scupper Pro TW and a white water kayak which is a Dagger RPM. I first had a Salish tandem and also an old Malibu. Both of which I sold.

Like Z, my first and only yak is the Hobie Outback I currently peddle.  I'm already itching for another kayak but that'll have to wait until we get a house with a garage... :smt009

Now I don't feel so guilty for owning 4 kayaks! Two SIK and two SOT:

1. Necky Kyook SIK
2. WS Tempest 170 SIK
3. OK Prowler 15 SOT
4. WS Tarpon 160i SOT

I like having two of each type, so I can invite friends to go out with me. Otherwise, I would probably just have one SIK and one SOT.

Amatuer hour:  Costco anyone?!  I own two Mainstream Tropics (9', very basic, still kill big lings!), 1 Mainstream Tango (12' tandem version of basic - great for midnight crabbing, has caught salmon, and my daughter loves to use it as a diving platform at the river in the summer), 1 Hobie Pursuit (12', barely enough weight capacity to haul my fat ass, let alone any gear...), and my most used and only valid fishing yak, the Ocean Kayak Scrambler XT.  I intend to get a real boat within a few months!   :smt001

UPDATE 2/7/09 - Malibu X-Factor in use since 7/07.   :smt001
