Not just CL. A NCKA bro also did that to me. Agreed to sell it to me for XXX price, but sold it under me to I Zod Out.

I still own two Kayaks back in Virginia, one is my 2009 Hobie Revo (Which is the gen I want as I believe it is 15 lbs lighter then the current gen) and my Perception 11.5 sit inside. Company wants $400 to ship them though and insurance could be a hastle if they damaged. < /thread hijack >

I believe that is correct...my 09 feels so much lighter than the newer models (with the different side handles).

Another tip is checkout local kayak shops to see if they sell used or demo boats. When Monterey Bay Kayaks has their annual sale, there are some smokin prices! Same goes for Kayak Connection. I've bought used Prowlers for 350-450. Used Tarpons for 400-500.

Imo.  If you dont have money in my hands.  Its up for grabs.  I just sold my kayak a couple months ago.  The guy was overly upset I agreed to show it to him on the weekend.  I also mentioned if he is on his way to see it from Sacramanto i would hold it for him.  Any tome before that i cant hold it.  I dont call stores to hold items for me.  So i dont expect people to do it either.  First come first serve.   Just like buying a home.  car.  Etc.   

From a sellers point.  That needs the cash.  Why chance someone flaking out instead of the guy standing infront of you handing you money.  Foolish.  I say.  Its because i sold items on CL.  Waste my day waiting for no shows.

I hear that one!  They'll always try & offer you 33% less than your asking price too!  Had some guy try & pass a fake $100 bill on my a few years back too.  I carry a 'bill checker' pen now too.
