It's looks like a very badly decomposed Baird's Beaked Whale.  It's actually upside down in that picture.  Those are rib bones sticking out the top.

Anything can be appear that furry when that badly decomposed.  Also, it could be a baby.  The article itself stated that dolphins can be furry at birth.  Baird's are essentially large dolphins, I believe capable of growing to 30-40 feet.  This one was described as twice the size of a human, so yeah, it could be a newborn with fur.

Makes sense. Hopefully they'll do some genetic testing. I'm curious.

Bairds are also essentially toothless, which the thing in the picture appears to be as well.  Actually the males have a single pair of small tusk like teeth.

I'm sure this is all very explainable, and I'm also sure the author is just creating some sensationalism.
