I've used cell phone repair places twice now, and it was quick and cheaper than replacing for sure. 

There's a place in canyon del rey called U Break I Phix. They used to have a 2 for 1 coupon on some random online coupon site...$50 gift certs for 25 bucks. I got one and used it to fix a broken iphone, like 5yrs ago.

Sounds like they should be working out of a food truck with a company name like that.

Love the phone. If I'm not carrying it, I am always keenly aware of wh4ere it is so as to avoid any incidents like this.

Thanks guys I have six months left before i could get a full up grade. I'm surprise i went 18 months with out breaking it or loosing it. So, I searched the web and found the part (LCD & touch screen)on fixez.com for  $34.00 dollars.  should have it working again  in a few days

just replaced my cracked screen for 85 at IT Amazing in Scotts Valley last Tuesday.  By Friday morning, the entire thing had gone kaput-ski!   
its been pretty interesting with no phone since Friday . . . Its like a phone detox, seriously.  should all try it.
