See the attached link regarding my fishfinder problems.  Is there a Dragonfly owner within reasonable driving distance of Santa Cruz who would be willing to help me troubleshoot / isolate the problem with my fish finder before I return it to Raymarine; AGAIN.

All I would need is 5 minutes to plug my head unit into your transducer and power source, and vice versa.  I will bring you a beer of your choice.  My Dragonfly clean and healthy and has no communicable diseases.  :smt002

Are you sure you cleaned the contacts on the plug? I did find out mine was corroded was I plugged in my unit to FishingAddict's power/transducer and it worked fine. I used a needle to remove the corrosion and works fine ever since.
I was almost ready to spring for another transducer. Too bad I'm up here in Fremont.
Good luck.

Wish I could help ya Matt, but only have Lowrance units myself.  ave you tried calling WestMarine to see if they have a head unit on display you could test with?

In retrospect you are right, but I couldn't pass up on the lightning deal. Remember this one?

Im wondering if they sent me a bunk unit for a "deal you cant refuse"; or if I just allowed corrosion to form in the ducer cable.  Either way I am getting pretty bummed out about it. My Humminbird has always worked, every time, forever.  The dragonfly has a very pretty display, but Im starting loosing my enthusiasm for it.  I even cut a big hole in my boat for the dam thing. :smt012
