Surprise Fathers Day Gift

From my son, what a surprise when my wife said we needed to go to Redding and pick something up I had no idea. Thanks to Headwaters Adventure for helping my son, great place to do business.

Yep, he is special.

Long story short, he is a childhood cancer survivor, 3 then,  now 26 years old, he graduated from University of Maryland with a computer science degree and works as a senior software engineer for a small company in the city. Found out 18 months ago that all the cancer treatment caused kidney failure. On March 6 he received one of my kidney's and he his doing much better. This was his way of saying thank you, it was totally unexpected.

He had the same cancer as Devon Still's daughter the Cincinnati Bengals player, neuroblastoma, he had two surgeries, radiation, chemotherapy and a stem cell bone marrow transplant his treatment was experimental in 1992 at Johns Hopkins, doctors learned a lot from him, it has helped 1000's of cancer patience since.

Yep, he is special, couldn't be prouder of his accomplishments.

As for the Revo 16 is an excellent boat. I have 1000's of hours in my old Revo 13 and this is so much better. Told my wife she may never see me, the seat is more comfortable and the boat pedals much easier and faster.  Only weighs five lbs more and seems easier to lift, weight distribution is better although it is 3 feet longer. Has the built in transducer compartment and all the through holes for wires.

It catches fish, caught five bass this evening.
