I live near sacramento and am going either to the bay for halis or the coast for cod/lings. I would like to bring fish home or my ol lady wont be happy so was hoping for some info from somebody that knows a good cod ling spot. Ive got the halubut spots down but would love info or somebody to go with that has a good spot from hmb up to bodega area. I have never caught a ling so that would be ideal. Lets  catch some fish.

Ive always wondered...should I wear a wet suit? Wondering if thats a common thing to do when in the ocean?

Yep! Wetsuit or a drysuit.  Folks also use waders with insulation layers or paddle pants/jackets. BUT safest route is to plan for immersion... so wetsuits and drysuits. The Ocean is unforgiving to the unprepared.

If you want to bring home meat, go get some lings and rockies.  If you want to bring home a suntan, go to the bay for butts.

Wish I could go in the ocean😢😢😢 don't think I'll be out there till next year. Recovering from 2 shoulder surgeries. However I might hit the rocks in order to shake some hands.

you can put your money in an envelope and put into Dropbox at Timber Cove if you want to start fishing earlier than 8 a.m.
