Back in the day when I used to rockfish, I stocked up on a bunch of these jigs. I used them exclusively when fishing rockfish with deadly effect, but they can also be used for striper or halibut or trolled for tuna.

10lb 24"+ vermillion

Lings

The only Norcal WSB (bycatch when rockfishing) I hooked was also caught on one of these jigs.

They are 4-6 oz so they hold the bottom well. Pair it with light braid and you can fish in pretty much any drift.

Available in a variety of fish catching colors

They are usually 6-8 bucks each for the 4-6 oz, jigs, but I'd like to get rid of the whole lot for 1/2 price, $3 a piece so $150 for 50 jigs.

They also work great when tipped with squid or the plastic of your choice

Yo kwok. Come on man, is that verm photoshop'd or what! I've caught a 24" verm and your fish looks more like 30". There is no way you could of lip and hold a fish that heavy like that. hmmmmm  :smt012

HAHA!

First off, very IMPRESSIVE verm! Especially from a kayak!

Now as far as photography is concerned, I am very good at hiding my hands and fingers (the two things in a photo that give away a hold out shot. Lol.

Jim is right. Try to guess the weight of the amberjack in the picture.

No photoshop or other tricks, nor was it taken with a fish eye lens. Just a standard Canon compact point and shoot.

I think the spot is a little bit off of Gualala while fishing off of Diabla.

Hey Nelson, That's a beast of an AJ. Hard to guess the size from a single photo, probably a 100 pound class fish... did you eat it? How was the meat?
