I like that. I don't think she can paint, but she might enjoy it anyways.  :smt006

I seem to remember a sign hanging on the fence at the south end of the runway asking people to not fly kites because of potential interference with planes.

Wouldn't that just fall in the common sense category.  There are many places to fly a kite than near the airport runway. :smt044

Depends on how much of the local product you've been sampling that day...

Yup. As a professional San Fran stunt kite flyer (in a previous life), NEVER fly in a plane flight path. That's what beaches are for. :smt002

Hey I got it, if she gets bored just tell her to drive the truck down the ramp and help people pull their kayaks up the hill with the truck of course. She will be one of the most popular persons in the cove. and it is a cool place to observe the action and everyone's catch, also she could be taking pics of people coming in with fish.

Is she into yoga or excercise stuff? My mom teaches a few classes there. Plus, there's the Shiningstar Sanctuary: http://www.shiningstarsanctuary.com/

Also, checkout the community calendar--lots of free or inexpensive things to do: http://sheltercove-ca.gov/cal.pdf
Looks like on Saturday, they're having a Native Plant sale with Kids Activities and free guided nature hikes.

I think you may have misunderstood the pronunciation, " Verns" has wifi and some tables and chairs inside you might be able to use. His store is just northwest of the campground on Upper Pacific. Directly across from the Clubhouse and the first tee box at the golf course. You might try giving him a call to confirm his hours, he's also a local realtor so it can be hit or miss at times.
