They are saying it is a myth and is untrue, so I'm still not sure.

Its logic, so it is arguing that if A is safe and if B is safe then A+B is safe.

That is a fallacy of composition.

It has nothing to do with oysters or milk.  It has everything to do with invoking logic without a rudimentary understanding of logic.  If you appeal to logic, know what the hell you are doing.  K.

It's a pet peeve of mine and I should probably just drop it.

64 dozen is a lot of oysters even for little guys like Kumamotos.  Someone got room for that much and all their gear for GS?

Also, for those grilling their oysters, the kumamotos are pretty small.  Factor in shrinkage from cooking and you could end up with a tiny oyster.

I have one oyster knife. If you have one, bring one.

Can I get 3 dozen for me and Hobie-Dave and Pam?  We're only a couple of sites away from the bake.

Ok now I understand. They are reaching a correct conclusion so to speak, but the way they are getting there is the problem.

 The campground guy is going to freak out when he sees the whole dumpster filled with oyster shells.

Maybe there will be enough to "pave" the dirt roads around the camp, or they could be crushed and used to fill the bunkers at the golf course.  Dumpster fill is clearly the most likely scenario!

I use the BBQ to 'pop' open the oysters and then pull them, dip in some garlic butter, and a little bbq sauce on the side.  Yum!  I stopped at Costco today and picked up 6 bottles of wine.

A new one to me;

Wow,
That's a wide spectrum of dry, oak and sugar! I think you need one more in between in the form of a Mendocino SB, Jerry. JS.

Check your order. Don't get left out. The current list was posted today. This is way bigger than I imagined. I think I'll bring another BBQ.  :smt006

If I had to guess it'll be in the area of 25-30 dozen. It has potential to be pretty popular.

So, um, yeah....

Jerry,  I'm just a couple of sites away and can probably barbecue a few if needed.
