Pre GS9 diving May 13th, 14th and 15th

nice video. I was told that the vis always sucks. I am guessing(but the looks of the video) that is not true.  can anyone that has dove up there before shed some light?

Depends on what your definition of sucking is!    I've dove there during the GS tourneys for the past 3 years.  I'd say the avg viz I experienced was 6-8 ft, which is about normal for north coast diving in general. 

Anyone planning on diving Friday morning (15th?)  Looking for a  dive buddy (or buddies)  to hit the water with to grab some abs and uni for the various pre-GS festivities! 

I'm in! Unless the salmon bite is red hot! Staying with Dave and brother. let me know where and when! Prefer to dive off the yak . holds more carnage. LOL

It's hit or miss as far as vis. I've seen it from 20ft once on a non dive day 
To 6 inches on a dive day 

Be happy with 6 feet

I'm planning to check out the cove in front of the place I'm staying. Looks like it maybe a good spot.

I've also have some other spots I've been eying on Navionics maps

I plan on diving 1st and fishing 2nd everyday depending on conditions and my knee holding up

I'm rolling in 1st thing Friday morning, and will be shore diving to make it easier.  Most places you kayak to dive you can access from shore anyways, so we potentially could meet up either way.

Meet where Antonio is staying and figure it out from there?  What time you guys want to hit the water? I'm up for (almost) anything.

Haven't decided yet.  I usually try to time it so I'm there around 8a, but can adjust schedule earlier or later accordingly.

Yes, leaving Kauai right now after 16 days. Can't wait for 50 degree water and no vis.

Senor Cabeza de Martillo, what is the address at the place you are staying?  Are you cool with us meeting at your place ~8am-ish Friday morning?
