I'm heading up to Shelter Cove arriving either late Tuesday night or Wednesday morning. Wanted to know if anyone else was planning on diving pre GS9 for some abs, fish, uni and maybe some scallops.

Weather permitting of course and would prefer to dive with someone experienced since Shelter Cove can tend to be a more advanced location.

I will be diving while up there. I am also bringing a couple tanks too for some extended underwater time. I think Luis is bringing tanks too. I am arriving on Wed and leaving Monday sometime. I won't have time to dive on Wed is my guess, but up for it on Thursday or Fri, but want to get in a prefish for tourney too. Fish few hours in the morning both days and then dive is my plan. If you want to hook up I am staying at a house at 201 Bambi dr just near the campground. 916-202-2631, but we know cell phones don't really work there. I can find you in the CG if that is where you are staying.

Should be no problem if you have Verizon.

Sounds like a plan. I will be staying in the camp ground for at least one night and a house on the water side of Lower Pacific for the remainder of the time.

I have Verizon and may also bring tanks. Have you scuba dived off your yak before?

If not there is a learning curve.

I have scuba dove off the kayak, but in nice conditions. Have you? It is pretty easy. Toss tank and BCD in water, hop in and put on.

Yeah I have a few times. Awkward if you've never done it before but Im a good solid scuba diver.

I've done a solo shore scuba dive there once about 10 years ago.

Took my BC and reg in yesterday to get the annual maintenance taken care of. They said it would be two weeks before I get it back.

If you are planning on going and need this done I would recommend taking it in ASAP so that you get it back in time.

I won't be up there until Friday morning, but plan to do a dive when I arrive (weather permitting) to grab some goodies for the unofficial potlucks over the weekend. Fingers crossed for good wx!
