I got my guide license last week and am starting a new business.  Lost Coast Kayak Fishing Adventures is the name and can be found on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/lostcoastkayakfishing and on the main site here http://www.
lostcoastkayakfishingadventures.com/

The website still has lots to be completed.  There will be trip reports and information on how the bite is from Shelter Cove, Humboldt Bay and Trinidad since these will be the ports I will mainly be fishing from, but I have fished and caught salmon and rockfish out of other ports too.

I plan on having trips for salmon, pacific halibut, rockfish & lings, other flatfish (sand dabs, rock sole, and petrale sole), crabbing and other special trips.

If you would like to catch some new species at GS9, I am putting together a half day kind of trip for speckled sand dabs, rock sole and petrale sole.  I have put in the time to learn these fisheries and can pass the info and techniques on to you.  This trip would include a short seminar on land to address what species we will be targeting, and how to use the rigs I will provide for you to keep.  Some bait and 1 or 2 sand dab rigs will be included.  These are some really tasty species for the table and its a fishery you can enjoy year round.  Don't worry about it being too far out cause I have solid spots well inside the 3 nautical mile curve so this trip is not limited to long distance paddlers.  I will also go over the regs and show you how to clean these critters.  They also make great bait for big ling cod and halibut too.

Folks interested in a pacific halibut trip can come down to the Cove during the week  before the tournament can book a pacific halibut trip as it will be open till that Friday before the tournament.  I will be doing my homework on finding them in Shelter Cove prior to the tournament so that if any of yall book a halibut trip that we will be successful in your pacific halibut pursuit.

Salmon trips will also be available and I will offer a discounted half salmon trip to show you the ropes or fine tune your ocean salmon techniques so you can have success targeting the mighty chinook.  I put in the time with salmon and have already took home 3 fish this year as well as released a legal size fish.

I have more than 15 years experience on the ocean here in Humboldt and have caught salmon up to 42lbs.  The 42lber was caught on a deep six with dodger and anchovy and an old Penn reel spooled with mono so its not necessary to have fancy equipment to land trophy size fish.  My pb salmon was caught off a boat, but we were within kayak range fishing out of Humboldt bay.

I hope to share my passion in these fisheries with some yall some day soon.   Please take a look at my sites and like my Facebook page.  My personal page on Facebook is under the name Cabezoneling.  If you know someone that may be interested in using my services then send them my info.  I will have business cards to hand out at GS9.  See yall soon and thanks for checking my site out.  Lets CATCHABIGONE!!!
