set of footers and thule crossbars on the factory molly rack and two straps for each boat with a safety line through the scuppers to the factory rack in case the tie downs come loose so the yaks cannot blow off the roof

I use a small trailer behind my rv.  Unlike Buzz I don't want to climb on time of my rig.
So long and thanks for all the fish!!!

I use a modified PWC trailer.  Light weight to tow and low loading surfaces.

Ok thanks for responses. The roof would be to hard for my wife to do alone or w her friends. And the rvkayak rack would be nice  but we have more than 2 kayaks. I'll start looking at trailer options now

Checkout this video clip--and also the comment below it about making a base to prop-up the yak using a milkcrate and expanding foam...sounds like a cool idea.

just make dang sure you know the exact height from the ground to the top of the boat or a bridge or overhang may rip your boats right off your rig

Here you go.  Single PWC trailer.  Biggest cost was 4" x 4" x 9' square tubing for extended tongue.  Keep it super light and you can disconnect it and roll it off to the side of your campground to get it out of the way.

This is what I did on my RV, didn't want to tow (Can't drive 55!). A nice person at Winnebago emailed the schematics for my unit, so I could find the best mounting points. You'd be amazed at the lack of structure on these overgrown styrofoam coolers, basically just some 1/8" L metal around the edges! Used some 8"x10"x 1/8" aluminum backing plates on both sides of the mounts, sealed everything real good, and installed the racks and a Hullivator. It's still takes some effort to get the kayak up on the Hullivator alone (I'm 6'5" and I can just make it without a ladder, but it takes a full overhead press). Easy with two people. Still need a ladder to get it on the roof. Also added J-racks for a second kayak up there, could maybe add another? Tie off bow and stern and it's solid.
Works well.
