Here's a recap of how the raffle will go down and my attempt at a list of prizes that I know of!!

If you see that I'm missing something please let me know!!

Quote
Tickets will be $1 each. You buy a ticket, write your name on the half that goes in the raffle and put the other half in your pocket.

There will be GALLON ZIPLOC BAGS with the name of the prize in sharpie written on them with each prize.

Put your ticket(s) in the bag with the prize you want.

We will pull the winning ticket from each bag for each individual prize, call the winner and give them the prize.

At the very end we will announce how much total $ we raised.

Half the $ will go to NorCal HOW, and half to the PIF fund.

Smaller prizes will be concolidated with bigger prizes.  :smt001

1. Piscean Custom Gaff
2. Lowrance Elite FishFinder
3. Bending Branches Angler Ace paddle
4. Surf To Summit Seat with pack
5. Surf To Summit Straps
6. Abking Redwood Hawg Trough
7. Rewood Coast Spreader Bars Humboldt Dredge
8. Kokatat Tshirt
9. Kokatat Paddle Jacket
10. Kokatat PFD
11. Stohlquist Farmer John wetsuit from Clavey Paddle Sports
12. WHEEEL-EZ!!
13. NRS PFD
14. NRS PFD
15. B2Squid basket of Love
16. 4 $50 gift certs from Outdoor Pro Shop
17. 3 Hobie Shirts

Any questions just let me know, and remember if you are bringing prizes for the raffle, give them to me not Eric! He will have his hands full with a gazillion other things.

Best bet is to just bring them to the potluck (after the tourney and before the awards ceremony) and look for me!

Same for buying tickets...find me at the potluck set up in central location!!

Two recent pics attached if you don't now what I look like...or just ask around for BigJim.  :smt004

Sincerely,

Jim

Just verifying. My understanding was the XL, everyone who participated in the tournament in gets 1 ticket each. Or do we buy as many tickets as we want to put in the box?
Thresher in avatar and Soupfin Shark in signature both caught and pic taken by me.

45th place / 423 pts / 3 Species - AOTY 2014 (nowhere to go but up!)

Always looking for new people to fish with!

Good question Ryan...I'll double check with Eric and post here to make sure we are all on the same page.

For sure each particiapnt gets a raffle ticket for the Predator XL.

From the Rules:

Quote
Traditional $25 entry gets you the usual t-shirt, tackle, Hawg Trough Extension and possibly some other schwag as well as a raffle entry toward the Old Town Predator XL

Quote
Grand prize, to be awarded by raffle where every participant has an entry, is a new kayak:  the Old Town Predator XL!  Other kayakfising related gear will be part of a raffle TBA, and proceeds will go to a non-profit or charity TBA.

Quote
*MUST BE PRESENT TO WIN RAFFLE PRIZES INCLUDING PREDATOR XL and MUST TAKE POSSESSION OF PRIZES IMMEDIATELY UPON WINNING.

Thanks for the question dude!

Confirmed with Eric.

The Predator will NOT be part of the raffle for HOW/PIF.

Each paid entrant will get one ticket for the drawing for the Predator.

Sorry for the confusion and thanks for catching my mistake Ryan!!

Each paid entrant will get one ticket for the drawing for the Predator.

Where will participants get the ticket to fill out and where will it be turned in?

Or would it just be easier to have somebody print out the final list of participants, cut names out, and then place them in a container?  I'd volunteer to do this but there's a chance I might not make it and I won't know until Thursday.

I will double check with Eric and see if he needs my help with this part.

I imagine he has it covered already and will just put names from his list of paid entrants into the drawing, but if he needs help I will use his list and put tickets in for paid entrants.

You guys will not have to do anything...just show up and have fun  :smt008

You rule, Jim!   :smt008

Everything looks good.  I would add that we may combine some things to keep the raffle flowing and to prevent an item from being neglected because it's weak compared to others - the one that comes to mind is the Kokatat T-Shirt - I think it'll just get combined with one of the other Kokatat pieces.  Also, the thigh straps are actually just regular straps like you use to secure your yak to your rack - I think we'll combine that with something else too.

Last, thank you for wanting to give an item for the raffle if you do, but remember that it's all kayak fishing related stuff.  We're already pretty stacked up, so it's gonna have to be something really nice to keep me from raising an eyebrow at it.   :smt001

I may have a used paddle I can bring. I need to see what I have when I get home. I have donated 10 or so so far to various cause and the supply is dwindling. I will let you know for sure Monday afternoon.

USED paddle for a stacked raffle?...  Whatever, Rancid.   :smt005

EDIT - please follow the process laid out at the beginning of this thread if you'd like to donate an item to the raffle.

Quote from: LoletaEric
I've learned in the past few years that I have to be strict about what I accept into the mix - I limit it to kayak fishing related items, and I put stipulations on how people can go about donating items.  If you'd like to get a new kayak fishing related item into this awesome charity raffle then by all means please PM me with your offer.

Thanks very much for your understanding of what to me is a carefully planned process, and sorry for being a smartass.   :smt001
