Just picked a Yaesu VX6 radio; was tired of bringing multiple radios when i go outdoors

FRS - so i can talk to family and friends
VHF - so i can communicate on the water.
2meter- for Ham radio communication; also had it mod'd to do CB & VHF.

Now i have it all in one little powerpak package!

@Gofish: ya ya yeah; should have just got this one to begin with!

Its no longer required for Technician Class license...not sure about the General Class license..

Just download the Technician Class app on you smartphone and run thru it a couple dozen times; you'll memorize all the questions & answers... then go take the test!

I did it on the flight back from Hawaii and passed on my first time....

Does it FLOAT?
No, but I do! :smt003

It will either be inside my pack or PDF pocket; I use an external mic/speaker with it...

Nice. $250 on Amazon. I read it recieved aircraft frequencies. It would be great if it could transmit also. I heard aircraft frequencies are the best for getting rescue help on land or water.

For the cost of a pilots license & an airplane, you too could transmit on faa channels.
