No, hadn't heard that opening date. There has been talk of a three Ling bag limit, I don't think I would keep three, tho. I loved it when Mendo opened for rec boat fishing in April...March is pretty wild water.

Yeah...it opens on March 1st every year...in SOCAL!

Just today I heard a RUMOR that opening day will be May 10th, 2 lings and finfish limit of five.  Not too sure of my source (fishcop's wife) because she likes messing with me just because she always out fishes me.

Looks like last year's regs were effective March 1 - February 28. So we should see the 2015/2016 booklet some time before March.
