2014 Diver Of The Year Results

WOW!!

 

What an amazing year in DOTY!!

ALL of the top SEVEN topped the previous years winner's score, we had THREE people pass fuzz's record DOTY score, and the winner went from 2nd place to 3rd place to 1st place all in the last 24 hours of the year!!!!

Very impressed by ALL who competed…not only for the quality of fish, but for the friendly nature of the competition all year….

I can honestly say it was not uncommon for many members of the top ten to be texting each other and sharing ideas and suggestions about where and when to find fish…fish that would help the "competition" pass them up!!!

Very proud of the competition that DOTY has become in the past three years, and really looking forward to seeing the players battle it out and set even more records next year!!!!

Charlie (IceColdChuck) was DOMINATING all year long with a TON of great fish ALL taken by polespear…but Nelson managed to put in the hours and days of diving to upgrade enough fish to finally pass him.

AMAZED that Nelson Kwok pulled off a HUGE upset to finish in 1st place and be this years Diver Of The Year!!

Amazed but not surprised….Nelson is one of the most humble, friendly, supportive divers that I have personally ever met…always with a smile on his face and a kind word for any diver he meets.

CONGRATS to our Top Three: Nelson, Charlie and Sean!!! You guys all had AWESOME years!!!!

WOW, what a great year. Congratulations Nelson!!  way to pull off last minute shots,  Charlie, Dude you Rock with the polespear, to all the rest, congrats and what a great group.  Jim, Rob, bwodun, Sailfish thanks for your time on the DOTY  committee.  Can't wait to see what 2015 brings.
