40" ling at still water

Went out Sunday morning to still water cove throwin some 831 swim baits and my dad (keep in mind this was his first kayak fishing trip) hooked into this monster ling. Here are some pictures in comparison to my hand and my height.

Strange what four more inches makes in a fish this size....nice catch and first time fishing from a yak. Dad has got to be hooked.
