My new T-Shirt slogan:

F#CK
YOUR
AGENDA!
 :smt003

Probably already copyrighted.  Definitely freedom of speech.  Still wouldn't wear it to a protest of any kind.

Only a hypocrite could bash me right?  :smt003

The host school recognized that the Mendocino kids were going to wear shirts that were potentially inflammatory. They asked them not to, and were told no.

A host is well within its rights to disinvited a guest if it has come to the host's attention that the guest intends to be disruptive and ungracious.

That's the lesson here, and it has nothing to do with the message.

Maybe if the school had said nothing, less kids would have worn them.  I was in High School in late 60's and early 70's. The school said not to do something, and it drew our attention to how to do it, It became a mission. Send us home to change our shirt. well that was either a trip to Frostie's or the local liquor store. Our school had an annual event where the school took a day for fun and the classes competed against each other. Once the school figured they would cancel the event. So many kids got together and put on a party that day instead. Kids at that age want to make a statement. Had nothing been said it may have stopped or had less Partake in wearing the teeshirts.

If that were true then why didn't any of the kids from the other schools show up wearing the shirts?

As an aside, comparing the times when we were kids to the times today's kids love in is a really tough sell. The world today is absolutely nothing like the world we grew up in. I went to high school I. The late 80s.

So the speech part is ok, but not the freedom of part?

I think it's an idiotic display but I support their rights to do so.

Wow, amazing what public pressure can do with legal backup. So, just caught up on all the posts and links, How did the FB teams fare in the tourney? I didn't see that as even a sidebar.

We are all holding our breathe here. ......... How did they do?
Live your life, the way you want to be remembered. Don't have any regrets, we only get this one dance to make it count. Start at your eulogy, and work backwards.

lol, this, friggin diaper hippies.  I don't think this is about free speech at all, it's about being an angsty dumbass kid thinking you know everything and wanting to be heard/get attention. That and being cool, Kobe wore it and I'm a baller too so I gotta wear one.

I'm just funnin, campfire ball busting as-it-were,  as it's all fairly amusing.  Kids will always do things the older generation will complain about. The only thing I'm interested in engaging is a steelhead this weekend!

Not sure yet, might be eel or van duzen and it would be sun non yak (nursing tennis elbow and a shoulder impingement). I will message you when I know.  :beer2
