This is my first tournament, so I have no clue how it starts.  Is 5:00am when it starts?  Are we on the water at 5 or driving in then?  Is there a mad rush for the ramp to launch?  I think I saw mention that it's a "shotgun start".  What does that mean for kayak fishing?  Is there a meeting beforehand?

Sorry if these are stupid questions.

Pre-Registration is now closed.

I'm really excited. It should be an epic day on and off the water.

Sunrise and start will be at 6:23am. Expect mostly sunny with a high of 75 and a low of 52. Winds will be light at 3 - 4 MPH. Picking up slightly to 7 MPH approaching check-in time. The pressure will be falling slightly with a waning crescent moon at 4% so the fish should be on the bite. Water temp should be around 59- 63 in the main body and high as 61 - 65 in the back coves.
Expect lots of bass on beds near lay downs and stumps. Crappie should be near rock walls and over hanging live vegetation. Cats should be on the prowl too in the warmer coves under sunkin' trees. Also, when the wind picks up it should force some current through the main body. Focus on these deeper rocky edges and under lay downs as fish wait for bait to come by with the current.

Good luck everyone! See you'll at the round-up!

Yes, but a day late and a dollar short. I. Got one baby bass during the tourney but I got two trout near dark. Thanks Rider for putting me on the fish.

Same here.  One fish, too short.  I did "catch" several good sized bass but they didn't want to get into the boat.
