Kokes :smt005 I've not heard of any in the last 20 yrs. Would be awesome if one was caught though. Use as a wild card  fish? I've seen something down deep and even hooked one that didn't stick. Koke?!!?... Big 18"crappie though, 13" redear, 23" spotted bass, 18"smallmouth, And 30 lb cats HAVE been caught by yours truly... As this gets closer I'll put up some tips and tricks to get you on fish. This is a no Minnow lake and can Skunk the best fisherman so bring your "A" game for this one.... Trout have NOT been stocked since july and will probably NOT have any plants this season due to the Hatchery in folsom releasing all fish due to hot water. They are rebuilding stocks now, but slow work.... This will be awesome fun!!!!! (But frustrating as hell for some...) Bring cameras as it is a VERY scenic area...

my new name should be Ostridge. Got my head in the sand. Going fishing and letting go of the other stuff I can't control anyway!

Jesse, come on out, this is a great lake. The first time I fished it I was like I cannot believe this is only 40 minutes from me. It has a very tranquil and relaxed atmosphere with all the little coves and inlets.

"The failure of an attempt to establish a kokanee fishery at Rollins Lake is an unexplained mystery. The DFG planted 40,005 fingerling kokanee at the lake in 2005, 16,400 kokes in 2006, 24,286 in 2007 and 40,125 in 2008, but as in the case of Folsom Lake, the fish didn't thrive."

I've never fished Rollins, sounds like fun.

I wonder if there will be a Berryessa Salmon Slam in 2015 - should be around the same time.

If I am in town, I am down.  Is there a campground there for us to invade and occupy?
So long and thanks for all the fish!!!

Sounds like fun!

Great place for an event!

I'm going to try and work a deal with The Peninsula Campground, maybe on a group site or two. I'll get back with details after the 1st.

This will give us access to both sides of the lake, thanks Ron!

I'm in, grew up in Grass Valley, spent a lot of days on the lake fishing and swimming, also panned for gold numerous occasions on the Bear River .

Of course best thing in that area is Frank's Pizza in Grass Valley.
