I can't even believe I'm even typing this right now but I'm not going to make it  :smt010  :smt009

Mrs. Flogger has made a turn for the worse with her health. She is scheduled for surgery next Wednesday for a non life threatening procedure that must get performed ASAP. She is currently uncomfortable but in good spirits  :smt004

I thought for sure that this would be my year to finally attend GS but it is not to be so. While I have been preparing for this trip for months and want nothing more than to attend...Family first.

I hope one of my homies can pickup my attendance package for me and bring it to PIF.

I apologize to my team mates the SC Slayers. You guys will have to carry on without me. I won't be offended if you decide to change your name.

Good luck out there and be safe. See you all next year  :smt008 :smt006

Deva - so sorry to hear you can't attend.  I wish your wife and your family the best, and good on you for making the right choice to support her right now.

We'll meet some day, buddy.   :smt001

Is PK a good guy to give your schwag to?

Thanks Patrick. This is about the only thing that could keep my from GS. Just bad timing is all. We'll definitely get together for a paddle soon.

I just talked to Jack at the cove and he will be giving everyone a hang tag for the rearview mirror showing who payed and how many.

Over the past years they say people have stayed without paying. I think it was others but due to our size they think it's part of us. They always take care of us and try to accommodate.

The keys for the bathroom will hang on the door again this year for convenience.

What do you hope to achieve at GS?  I cannot wait to guide some friends Thursday and Friday mornings and next week.  I really look forward to shaking lots of hands, embracing smiling faces, and hooking great people up with a bag of goodies and a weekend full of friendship and Good Times.  My goals revolve around helping people discover the best parts of themselves, and I'm one of the people doing the discovering!

I envision success, and I do my best to plan for whatever may occur.  The key to all of it is closely related to a positive outlook and a willingness to go with the flow if something unexpected comes up.  I thank you in advance for keeping this in mind, because, as I my good friend James the AbMan reminded me of, I have not always maintained an ideal while navigating the maze of stress and whirlwind of activity which I've set in front of myself.

My spirit is strong, but step on my toe and I'll chew you a new scupper.   :smt003

The best part of GS for me is when I see others jumping in to assist when someone needs it, or when clubmates show appreciation for the actions or the good vibe of another participant.  This gathering is about showing off your ability to share yourself in a way that stays with people and becomes part of what they want from themselves and from the world around us.

I wear my sunglasses a lot so I don't freak anyone out with emotions that flow as I near the summit.  I'm climbing a mountain to where I can see a path toward my better self, and you are all there with me along the way.

Bring your best and look for it in others.  This is no party.  It's a celebration of how life should consist of a series of opportunities for success where each one leads to a new level of awareness, joy and togetherness.   :smt001

I've got a bunch of work to do, so I'll see ya soon.

I just looked at Accuweather and it looks like it's only going to reach the high 50s and the low is 38.  It also calls for a couple of rain showers tomorrow.  It's gonna be cold at night!

Well said Eric!  I'm anxiously waiting for tomorrow morning to come so I can begin the journey.  Thanks for all you do to make GS such a great event.

That's probably for whitethorn. It won't get that cold, though I fully expect rain Thursday night.

I envision having fun.
Live your life, the way you want to be remembered. Don't have any regrets, we only get this one dance to make it count. Start at your eulogy, and work backwards.
