If the Dodgers get Lester, and a premier reliever, Eric will forget about this SNIVELING.  Sorry this struck a bad chord.

and why do folks on cannery row go shopping dressed like this?

Because there is no place on earth where it would matter less if one made an ass of oneself. He's posing 4U, that's awesome!

The first event i attended in NCKA was at the Alameda rock wall hosted by Fisherman's warehouse.
that is how I met the first group of you guys. Eric was one of the first people i met that welcome me to the group.
By the way i started shopping at Fisherman's warehouse about 17 or 18 years ago in Sacramento.

I think we can all agree that Yakhopper is a great guy.

However, I think there is a legitimate concern that FW is selling sturgeon gear that is now illegal to use when targeting sturgeon.  It would be a nice gesture if the gear were to be labeled not because FW has a legal responsibility to do so, rather because they have an ethical responsibility toward their uninformed angler clientele.

A good tackle shop like FW does more than sell tackle; they inform and educate.

Just my .02 cents , all valid and important points well made but, as someone much wiser than me once said here on this site..I think this topic has been :spank to death... :smt002 :smt003

Probably, but some don't check threads that often and may have a need to say how they feel even if it puts new life in the thread.

If you're tired of reading a thread, don't read it anymore. Simple.

Where is the outrage in crab snares? They come with one too many loops, and to be legal, you have to clip one off. They are sold EVERYWHERE.

I did mention that earlier.

The funny thing was I was so convinced that was the case I bought one a few weeks ago and before using it I cut one snare off.  As soon as I did it I realized this one had six snares and was legal. So until I fix it I have a 5 snare trap.  I checked the other days and some local stores still sell the 7 snare models.  I went through the F&G book and couldn't find how many snares were legal so better safe than getting a ticket.  I know I read it before but sometimes things are harder to find right when you want to use them.
